Drawing for Beginners

Drawing for Beginners

Drawing!… “Boring” some people say! No – not at all!

This workshop is for beginners who have a desire to create and draw. It excites me to share and develop people’s skills to have them grow into a creative powerhouse.

If you think you’re totally hopeless at putting pencil to paper, think again, learning how to draw is easier than you think, even for those whose artistic abilities seem non-existent.

Description

As children we all enjoyed drawing, it was easy, it flowed and you lost yourself in a place where time and problems did not exist.

In this three hour workshop you will learn about sketching basics and simplifying objects, learning shading techniques to create dimension and proportions.

This is a judgment-free, casual class designed for making mistakes, experimenting, and discovering a talent you didn’t know you had.

Explore your creativity in a fun and loose class where you’ll build artistic confidence and nail some fundamental sketching skills. Pick up a pen and you’ll be sketching in no time. The more you practise the better it gets.

‘Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.’ – Pablo Picasso.

Drawing equipment, paper and pencils provided. Information notes and drawing works to take home.
